The 2024 primary is over and my run for Socorro County Commissioner has ended. I couldn’t have run the race without the unwavering support and help of my amazing wife and all who donated money, time, and effort. Cindy and I found blessings from the time and energy we put into this campaign. We met many wonderful people from door knocking, got to know the community better and had a great experience.

A total of 222 votes were cast for the 3-way contested Socorro County Commissioner District 4 Republican race (~27% of eligible Republicans voted). The results were: 110 for Monette, 92 for Canner, and 20 for Esquivel (50%, 41% and 9%). I believe if the votes hadn’t been split it would have been much closer and could have gone either way. This needs to be said, we must start working together if we are ever going to win elections. Congratulations to Danny Monette, now let’s get behind him and support him 100% in order to finish the job at hand.
